Seriously, heroin is an absolute no no!! I'd NEVER touch it, and I'd chops someones hands off before lettin them near it.

      Coke though, it's different! Are we getting our wires crossed? Do you think I mean crack coccaine? I dont. Massively massively different to coke.

      The coke you get on the streets is weak as p*ss and only a tiny bit different to speed (except its nicer). I personaly think weed is stronger. I actually think Whiskey is stronger.
      Coke only gives you a high for about 10 minutes really (although yes, it's quite moreish...the same as drink, you want another). E's and acid will knack/amaze you all night, but coke is a quick hit...a buzz. Thats all. It's a party drug, and should be treated as such. Kids who use coke correctly are those who have a bit maybe once every couple of months...on special occassions. If they're not using it correctly, it's cause of (sorry Diver, I dont mean this directed at you) but people like you lot on here who are already freaking out at the sound of it! Kids need to be told in an informed way what each drug does, what the pro's and cons are, how to use it correctly, what can go wrong etc etc. Just like Gonzo said basically.
      My friend and neighbor lost his son last year, cocaine. the lad was on a celebratory night out with his girlfriend after the move into their new flat. he was 21.
      Cocaine is now responsible for more cases of heart failure in young people than any other cause.

            You're making it quite hard to debate Diver - how can I argue over a real life example of loss like this?

            I can't can i? It's a tragic loss.

            <just deleted my "but" paragraph>

            Lets just leave it.

              SallyAnne, am curious, when you fill in a life insurance policies/mortgage, medical questionnaires do you say that you are using recreational drugs? Or do you deny it? If you admit it in your insurance policy, do they accept you? If so what are your average premiums? Or have you been rejected for life insurance?

                I can't remember my insurance asking about recreational drugs.

                For that matter though, I haven't taken coke for well over a year, haven't taken E for about 3 years, no acid since i was in my early 20's, no weed for about 5 years either (hate that stuff) - no one ever asked me that though did they?

                The only drugs I would take these days is the odd line of coke, but like I say, I haven't really been in the situation where it was appropriate lately.

                I was offerring advice based on a lot of experience....not all of it recent though.

                  That’s lucky Sally, almost every job I’ve been in always have a medical questionnaire and almost all had that question, really odd since you say you worked for Accenture am sure I had to fill in a medical with such questions. My life insurance also included question on whether I am or ever have had drugs in the past… btw: didn’t you go to a friend’s wedding few months ago and you said you have used the stuff and was ill for 2-3 days afterwards?

                    To be fair Sally you weren't offering advice you were trying to justify taking drugs by saying they were harmless when clearly they are not. What you mean is you have been lucky that no-one you know has had bad experiences or died, both myself, Diver, and numerous others could say otherwise. I don't care who takes what, whether you brain is addled or your arteries buggered, but if someone asks if a child should be taking it the answer as a parent should always be no despite your good luck

                    Flame me as usual
                    The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

                    But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”
