A speed awareness course isn't a speed limit awareness course, and driving within the speed limit isn't the same thing as driving at a safe speed.Originally posted by DimPrawn View PostBut you weren't speeding, you ran a red light?

I think the speed limit at red lights is around 0 mph.Originally posted by NickFitz View PostA speed awareness course isn't a speed limit awareness course, and driving within the speed limit isn't the same thing as driving at a safe speed.Comment

Are you sure it was you driving?Originally posted by poser View PostHad no choice but to jump a red light a few weeks ago (didnt shoot through a red at 90, they just turned as i went through - would have been too dangerous to brake last min) and also got flashed by the camera....
got a letter in post asking for drivers details from the police
Does anyone know hpow many points the MET Police give for a redlight offence?
Edit: oops too late you paid the voluntary taxThe court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.
But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”Comment

So there was no amber light warning you the lights were going to change? In that case it's not a proper traffic light according to the regulations, and you're home free.Originally posted by poser View PostHad no choice but to jump a red light a few weeks ago (didnt shoot through a red at 90, they just turned as i went through - would have been too dangerous to brake last min)Comment
