Remove "change" and you are on a right track

I do not understand how people could be offended by being asked, some people ask when they see the shoes at the front door, and just smile and say that it be good if they could. Some people just take them off, but a minority act like some people in this thread.

The people who are so insecure as to get offended over it, arent the types I would want to socialise with anyway.
If you are at ease with it, why the need for a poll on the matter?

People always get super defensive when personal cleanliness is bought into question. No surprise there I guess, but this thread has shown the 'clean challenged' amongst us.

Because I was curious if all Brits were so disgusting, luckily it would appear not, most appear to be sensible (going by poll result, not comments), and just a vocal minority are getting defensive.

Ah this explains why the All-Blacks minced around the pitch like a bunch of queens. They just didn't want to get muddy and dirty. All makes sense now.
              Hard Brexit now!

BGG was talking about people walking around bare footed, getting dirty feet and then putting them on clean sheets when they went to bed.

Obviously the solution is to wash the feet before going to bed.
