You'll like this one ! When living in Sydney I was admiring myself in the mirror after putting on my best pulling shirt for a night out on the town. Something felt a bit odd and then a lump started moving in my shirt, much panic and arm flapping followed and eventually a still alive but battered huntsman spider emerged. Perfectly harmless ( apparently ) but very big and hairy and tarantula like if you don't know any better.Originally posted by cailin maith View PostSpiders

I once had a house spider crawl on my head while I was sleeping. This wouldn’t have been so bad had it not been recklessly enough to wake me from slumber. It was quite a big one and so I flicked it off and went back to sleep. Having not learnt from it’s previous near death experience from 30 minutes earlier; it came back to the same spot and did the same thing, at which point I caught it and put it outside. This isn’t a scary or phobia story btw; I should have said so earlier, sorry. I haven’t any amusing irrational phobias to relate that I know ofOriginally posted by cailin maith View PostSpiders

I once watched an episode of Casualty where this old woman had ringing in her ears, and they found a moth in there, still alive, flapping away

I think it was interested in a source of warmth, and had a bad memory, rather than crawling around on my head just for fun or on a Kamikaze mission.Originally posted by cailin maith View PostAggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh - my worst nightmare!!

Given that Schindler ran an engineering company, I've often wondered if there is any relation.Originally posted by Charles Foster Kane View PostYou been in those lifts with the 'Schindler' name across the floor, I can never help but quip 'ooh looks like we're in Schindler's lift'.
It gets a mixed response.
