Why would I want to double boot on "Mac" when I can have cheaper PC that won't pay Apple premium? PC is a standard that everyone aligns itself to, Macs are just annoying bunch of people who are helping the Big Brother to self-identify themselves by buying Macs

As for running Macs software on a PC - who cares about Mac software, even Photoshop now targets mainly PCs? Face it - you lost.

    You really are mad.

So Photoshop targets mainly PC's...fantastic if all you use is Photoshop. The Mac's bread and butter was in DTP. You can get far better applications to do it than Photoshop.

I am guessing you have never used a Mac.

Yep, you can dual boot Windoze on a Mac, but can you dual boot Mac OS X on a PC? No...and why would you want to...Windoze is pants in comparison. When I switched I was amazed at just how easy it was...

I put a new hard drive in my MacBook Pro so I thought, let's do a backup first...like any good IT bod should!!

Did a full backup using an app called SilverKeeper. It took a few mins. When I had reinstalled Mac OS X Leopard, all I had to do was drag the Microsoft Office 2004 for Mac folder from the backup to the apps folder and there it was..reinstalled. This covered the keys..preferences..everything. I did the same with the other apps and it was done in about 5 mins. It was even the same with my email..drag the folder into the right place and it even did all of my account details etc...

Can yu imagine doing the same in Windoze....hours later.....ZZZzzzzz. Maybe even a BSOD or 2...

I still use Windoze...but only for games....and never for doing my online shopping on...

Actually you can run Mac OS X on a PC. However Apple specifically prevent this in their licensing. Can you imagine the outcry if Microsoft had the same licensing terms as Apple and after buying Windows you had to then buy your computer from Microsoft as well?

Can you imagine how good Windows would be if MSoft didn't have to spend all their time ensuring their OS worked with everything?

Went along to the apple shop bought a mac mini was printing within 20 minutes after taking it out of the box... hurmff
I must say I've never come across someone buying a desktop computer because they were having printer problems. Even stranger that that the desktop computer is to replace a laptop.
I also find it odd that you had an Airport to connect to your laser printer. Sounds like the thin edge of the wedge to me. You buy an Aiport and then the next thing you know the only way to print is to buy another piece of Apple hardware.

Yes, for people that do not buy a PC because they want to follow everyone else? Or maybe for people that do not need the reliabuility or security or functionality of a Mac?

I use both but for very different things. I am guessing you don't or have ever used a Mac?

If I wanted to create a "cool" tune, or design some artwork for my latest "mix", I might. But for anything work related I need a proper computer.
