        Re CLint:
You have to get there early though, last time ended up going to the fab instead, that stupid XXX that used to be Tracy in Corronation st is the DJ, she was rather rude when I asked again for a request ahe didn't play, so I told he to go upstairs and play her fecking TURPS
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

(Plus - get yourself into the old fashioned boozer City Road, opposite the Hacienda up the street from here early doors on the Friday night for some Kareoke )

Saturday....I'd suggest Goucho Grill. BEST steakhouse inhe country. FACT! And it's very very swanky. And they often have a band on on a Saturday. (You have to book though - its very popular).
Plus it's just off the top of Deansgate, so you can do a few swanky living room type bars first if you fancy. or it's next door to a very nice Prohabition, for early cocktails.

Ah I wish I was coming - City Road kareoke and Goucho Grill steak is pretty much my most perfect weekend!

Right, getting annoyed now. First the lard thread, now this - stop stealing my life! Deansgate Lock and the Gaucho can't be beaten, although my favourite pub in Manchester is 'Sinclair's' near the Triangle. The Bridge is another favourite.

I quite enjoy a few frames of pool (and curly fries) at Riley's, above the Wetherspoons on Deansgate but it might not be an ideal weekend away with the missus. The Living Room is nearby though for a good meal and posh drinks.

Traceys tapes night is great..... but the drunker she gets the more off the wall the music gets.

Sinclairs...... yikes you are a brave man....

The living room - I'd be careful with - a diner had to kill a rat with his shoe in there a couple of months ago!!

For cocktails THE best places to go is Obsidian if you like a posh swanky booth type place or if your heading into the northern quarter and fancy a more boudoir type place with decent music (allbeit often packed) then head towards Socio Rehab.

For a curry get a taxi to Rusholme for the Curry Mile

If your into Jazz music then Matt n Phreds is definately worth a visit and open late.

I love going out on tours of manchester.. shame im stuck in this armpit (Reading), at some point we should have a CUK Manchester meet-up

I'm too old for these crazy music nights that you crazy kids go to. I stopped clubbing when they closed the Hac.
