I worked for EDS on this particular project (as a permie) but eventually resigned...

EDS is what pushed me over the edge as a permie and into contracting

Joined the company to do sharepoint and was immediately seconded off on an LDAP project i had no experience with.... expectations of me were close to zero, which concequently meant that in the 2 months i was there, i probably patched together a fortnights work.

The contractors there must have been making off like bandits on their daily rates.

        Are Accenture any better?

I worked for Andersons (as they were then) 10 years ago, but never got to find out how good or bad they were as the client kicked them out within two months of me joining.

They obviously thought you looked like a girl and so wouldn't be any good.

Worked on a couple of good Andersens projects yonks ago, good PM and decent client manager in both cases. Just worked on a disaster of a project for Accenture, OKish PM but the client management poor to non existent which made Accentures job very very difficult and probably quite lucrative until they get kicked out !

I seems to recall somewhere that the Job Centre systems were made by EDS, and the job centre system had to decommissioned - before it was even rolled out!

Now I also seem to recall that EDS was required to pay compensation for some project that also failed (dunno it if was NHS, Job Centre, Corrections, Working Tax Credit) but that the compensation was in the form of credits applied to future projects!

                How do they do it?

I assume you got some kind of bonus for reaching a level of productivity beyond anything they'd previously achieved?
