I suspect that the problem was less colour and more "being a Yank".

I can't believe that anyone in this day, age and profession would have any colour, sex, disability or sexual preference bias at an interview.

The only way I can ever see an interviewer seeing it as a problem is if he/she notices that you are uncomfortable with it.

I normally only do phone interviews - got my first face-to-face interview for 4 years this week, but the client approached me so I'm not too worried about it.

Isn't 2uk saying that his interviewer was the c*ck?

Some people are still a bit uncomfortable around people who have diffrences to them - if I understand the question right, 2uk was saying that he felt his interviewer was like this (hence him loosing the job).

I dont understand who is being told to grow up, unless I've completely got the wrong end of the stick again??

I don't think he was saying that the interviewer was a c*ck. I think that the line "I don't have problems with the other color but at times the problem is with them" is similar to any sentence that begins "Now, I'm not a racist, but..."

Maybe the word "them" is wrong, and implies much more of a racialist undertone than was intended originally.

I thought he was saying that he was Black, and his interviewer was white, and uncomfortable.

I.e. He (as a black man) doesn't have a problem with the other colour, and sometimes the problem lies with them (the white folk).

is it a black guy complaining about a possible racist white interviewer?
is it a white guy complaining about a possible racist black interviewer?
is it just a useless candidate who didnt get the job and is looking for race reasons?
