I presume you mean the crime, etc. I was thinking about the communities that once exited there. I lived there for a bit, so have first hand experience of the bad & good aspects of Moss Side.

I lived there before, during and after the 'makeover'. Most of the communities are still there - just not under each others noses. The crime didn't go away with the pretty little Redrow-style houses, though, you're right about that. I still live nearby - I can't see it ever getting 'gentrified' or whatever the term is, which is kind of a shame as it's really handy for the motorway and the city centre.

Last time I was there, I thought I detected the first signs of "gentrification": more "middle class" cars, etc. But, no, hardly Hobbiton, just yet!
