OK, quick question. If I buy shares at say £1.50, and then one of the big banks come along and buys out the bank for say the equivilant of £1/share, what happens to the value of my shares?And the lord said unto John; "come forth and receive eternal life." For a bank to buy NR at £1 a share, 75% of the shareholders have to agree that that is an acceptable price and then that is what the value of your shares will be too.

Indeed. Make sure you buy at least 26% of the shares, then you don't have to sell at £1.

They won't drop to £1
1/ their loan book is worth at least £2 per share
2/ the fundamentals of the business are ok
3/ one of the respected hedge fund mangers is betting £50 million on a rally
4/ these things always get overdone in a panic, see sept 11th share prices
5/ they arent being slated on the TV all the time now
