The facts do point out to a sizeable proportion of reported racial abuse incidents being directed at English folk. This is not a good thing and it is something that most Scots are uncofortable discussing amongst themselves let alone with anyone outside the country. TBH, I find the parallels with where I am living at the moment really creepy.

Still, on the plus side, it gives you something else to reinforce your poor-me-perpetual-victim world view.

Among my friends and family I would say that pretty much holds true for most people. My missus is English and no-one has said anything untoward other than the fact they can't understand what she is saying.

On the other hand, I know several people who will spout a load of hate filled sh1te on this subject, particularly when alcohol is involved. These range from some university educated middle-class types through to some real cretinous trolls from round my way (some in my family.)
