Would it help if all of us that earn less working outside London pointed and laughed at you?

          You poor souls.

I stopped using the underground to commute about 2.5 yrs ago.

Although this does mean there'll be twice the loons trying to get onto South West trains tonight.

And yet again I'm so bloody glad I moved out of London, and the SE generally. Yes the money isn't quite as good but the cost of living is lower, quality of life is higher and the transport is far less hassle and expense.

Yes, that helps us very much. I think I'll use the delays to count my money

FWIW the part of the Picadilly line that's suspended is only the seven-station stretch between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge, which uses the same line as the Metropolitan.

Luckily a signal failure at Arnos Grove is causing severe delays for the rest of the line. After all, TfL did say it would be operating normally

If it makes you all feel any better I got stuck behind a horse for nearly a minute tonight on my 20 minute drive home through usually deserted country lanes.

Anything South East of Oxford you can stick up yer 'arris as far as I'm concerned.

Well it only took 1:50 door to door to get home tonight. Usually takes 40 mins. HTH
