My Dad assisted a guy out of The Spinners in the 60s with a flat tyre.

Actually, that's TOO crap. My apologies.

A couple of years ago I was working with the web dev team at a commercial radio company. One lunchtime, after wrestling with a particularly thorny bit of XSLT, I went to the coffee machine for more fuel but found my way blocked by three teenage girls, one of them holding a baby. I said "Excuse me," thinking they'd move, but they turned and smiled at me and just carried on standing in the way.

Wondering what was wrong with these dim bints I said "Can I get past please?" in a weary and irritated tone, whereupon they started giggling and scuttled to one side. I got my coffee and went back to my desk muttering darkly to myself about "Young people today."

Chatting to one of the DJs later that afternoon, I found out they were the Sugababes, waiting for somebody to take them to a studio for an interview. Oh well.

My wife once had a sauna with Take That! (whilst they still had Robbie Williams) - before I met her of course... (nothing happened, at least that's what she told me....)

                Not with Gary Barlow, anyway.

Once had a cuppa with Ian Botham and Max Boyce.

Though it's true, I'm not proud and this was really just to boost my post count

Thought this was about work but as it's diverged I'll join in.

I spent the afternoon chilling with Terry Hall, Lynval and Nevielle before their first concert as the FB3 in Leeds (05/03/83).

Shared an after concert tinny with Joe Strummer whilst he signed my Jacket.

I joined a queue outside a lesser known church in Rome, a nun in front gave me a ticket which then got me in to a small select service with the Pope.
