Simply because it is the most offensive post I've seen in 2 years on here. That was the original point of this thread. If we can post stuff like that then why ban people for less?Hard Brexit now!

This is the problem though. This is a commercial site and part of someones business. You shouldn't have to constantly 'mind the kids' on a site like this.Originally posted by Divercouldn't you just edit his more outrageous posts into something mundane or rediculous, to make him look the fool when he crosses the line
I liked Duder and thought he was a funny guy but some of his more recent polls/posts (not the stuff about dating that was OK IMO) was just purile. Just tried to find some but they've all been deleted.Comment

i'm not going to labour the point, but you were banned once and have had several warnings in the past. what exactly is it you are looking for?Originally posted by Let-Me-InI admit to some of my more risque posts...but thathappens on a board such as this. More often than not, a word of warning will suffice and an explanation of why the warning is given would also be beneficial.
I don't indulge in sexual fantasy, more light hearted playing and humour.Comment

i agree, duder was a funny guy, but on the board, as evidently in real life, he simply couldn't keep it in his trousers.Originally posted by PondlifeThis is the problem though. CUK admin also ban users where we deem necessary. Overall the tone of the board had gone downhill recently, in our opinion anyway. Aside from the legal implications of the stronger stuff for CUK, many, like Bogeyman felt that if topic of the day on the general forum was ‘picking your nose’ then he no longer wanted to contribute, which isn’t what we want and we did therefore need to take some action. We’re all for light hearted banter, as SP says there’s Light Relief for that. We’ll also try to be as consistent as possible but again as SP says, opinions on action will vary, but 9 times out of 10 we think it’s fairly obvious where a line has been crossed from healthy banter into offensive, where someone should receive a PM and where someone gets banned. As Snaw said the worst offenders know exactly what they’re doing…
At the end of the day we’re just trying to keep this forum as pleasant and constructive a place as possible and we fully back SP up (on his sometimes rather thankless task of) trying to achieve that. If you see something you don’t like that you think we may have missed, then please report that post to us.
Thank you, CUKComment

Actually I think the problem was that in real life, his "little chap" didn't get out of his trousers enough, hence his frustrated ramblings on hereOriginally posted by scotspinei agree, duder was a funny guy, but on the board, as evidently in real life, he simply couldn't keep it in his trousers.

i understand your point lmi. rest assured it is something i would always strive for, notwithstanding the, at times, subjective nature of the task.

I can only agree, it must be a difficult job to apply the policy consistently, and find it interesting that you mention the likes of bogeyman, who has, more than once abused me very personally, along with troll and churchill.
I've spent time away from the board and I certainly don't bother to post as much as I did because the arguments don't change, there are very few who can support their opinions with fact, and there are some people who seem to get away with anything.Comment
