you lot need immigration to keep your house prices rising
because it is often overlooked by the chattering classes that if house prices begin to fall, and home owners lose confidence in their house prices and their mortgages then they WILL stop spending and Britain's delicate service economy will go down the toilet
but there is hope, because,
as long as there is continued high immigration then house prices have the best chance of continuing to rise
this means lads,
immigration is good for house prices and house price confidence, immigration is therefore good for the economy, immigration is good for jobs, immigration is good for britain and immigration is good for you
becareful what you wish for !
you need immigration
Milan.
Milan, stop winding em up
Let us not forget EU open doors immigration benefits IT contractors more than anyone
I don't think anyone wants to stop immigration, merely stop the immigrants that either just want to take take take or the immigrants that are here to kill us!!!
If immigration is so good, I would expect our government to pull in 10M per year, even if we have to invade the 3rd world and push them to Slough at gunpoint.
Unfortunately you and Cd take extreme views on most things when actually the solution to the problems lie somewhere between your two extremes. It is the old "rules" syndrome whereby the laws of mathematics apply to day to day problems, that every problem has a right or wrong answer.
There is no such thing as "workable compromise" in your minds, which is why so manyu of you struggle with relationships and why mechanical engineers are more likely to be effective in the delivery of IT solutions than do computer science graduates.

How is Milan giving an extreme view? An extreme view would be complete open borders, free movement of people. Milan just said 'everything in moderation'.
