I wouldn't be so hasty. It wasn't too long ago that the first guy arrested on suspicion of murdering those Ipswich prostitutes turned out to be completely innocent. However, all the media coverage and speculation following his arrest completely ruined his life despite the fact he was innocent.

I'm not sure this guy in Portugal is involved. Funny how, when the police investigation seemed to be going nowhere, that a Daily Mirror reporter then hapens to bring the bloke to the police's attention. Was that for genuine reasons of suspicion or to re-sparkle what appeared to be a rapidly dying investigation?

              Fair point indeed...

However...everything about this whole thing smells a bit funny...suspect is having a relationship with a woman who lives with her husband, he is making calls to an IT geek (sorry everyone lol) that he is denying, he was being overly helpful (as per Ian Huntley)...all seems a bit odd. But it could also all be the press making the story fit...

Equally, the parents don't seem to want to hear a bad word said about this guy which is a bit odd, I'd want to rip his head of at the slightest suspicion.

The military style of the search is quite astonishing...as I said before, this either makes the parents the most remarkable people ever or there is something fishy going on...only time will tell which it is...

By the way, has anything been written about why the other two kids were not taken as well? If we really are talking about people taking the little girl to sell on (as has been suggested) then surely they would have taken the younger ones as well?

I also can't help but think that its a bit odd that she was taken from the apartment when the parents were out eating...(close enough to avoid total slaughtering from the public, but far enough away for the girl to be taken without them seeing)...as most kids are taken at an opportune moment, whereas this is clearly planned...do we know if the parents always went out for something to eat without the kids and were in a patern...if not, the chances of this happening on the one night they do it are just not plausable.

apparently they did. So anyone watching locally would get to know the pattern.

it was to sell papers! come on Kyajae try to keep up. it doesn't matter whose life is ruined - as long as a few extra copies of tomorrows fish and chip wrappers are sold.
