The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.
But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.” -
What a load of tosh...Originally posted by RRHHas anyone noticed the radical right wing underbelly of this site or am I just being over sensitive? There seems to be a range of prejudices that certain posters posses to outright racism in some cases. As many of you know my political stance is 'slightly right of centre' but some of the covert racism on here is sickening...."I can put any old tat in my sig, put quotes around it and attribute to someone of whom I've heard, to make it sound true."

Quite.Originally posted by KyajaeThe propensity for people to try and shut discussions and debate down by smearing people with terms like 'racism' is a modern method of censureship that Stalin would have been proud of in early cold war Russia.
The point of debate is that there are opposing views. You don't just shout down others with the accusation of racism just because they disagree with you."I can put any old tat in my sig, put quotes around it and attribute to someone of whom I've heard, to make it sound true."

I see political correctness is essentially (but not quite entirely) about language, particularly terminology. It has nothing to say about arguments and views. That is why political correctness is pretty much worthless. But I don't think it's the bogeyman that the gutter press makes it out to be, essentially by mis-labelling various policies/other ridiculous behaviour (often coming from the tarquins you mention) as 'politically correct.Originally posted by realityhackOh bloody hell. Political correctness. Another linguistic device to rid us of our civil liberties. An ideology synonymous with cultural marxism and used by the sneering sandal-wearing tarquins of this world to brand any remotely provocative, challenging, critical or dissenting voices as racist, homophobic, elitist etc...
It makes me sick, it really does.Comment

Yes, but the point of "views" is that there is are some real thought and detail in them. Some actual point. The general "I hate all them paki's" posts from a lot on this board hardly constitute "views" in my opinion.Originally posted by cojakQuite.
