"It makes me feel like I'm contributing something to the country.
It makes me know that I genuinely AM contributing something to the country.
The more tax I pay, the better I feel about myself."

So pay your IR35 share and feel even better about yourself.
Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.

    I preferred version 1!

        Sorted.
Feck the SA80, original or otherwise - let's equip the lazy c*unts with a SuperSoaker...

"I've worked with a sh*t load of them over the years, and I know the difference! And I'm not one."

In what ways? So you have worked alongside sh*t loads but you are different.

** when I was a permie civil servant.

"You're absolutely right though - us lot should be taxed much much more than we are. It needs to be addressed, and I have faith in Gordon that he'll do just that."

It is Gordon and chums which brought this and other measures in. How does that square with your faith in him?

**Quite well - I'd love to see the figures on how much extra tax he's captured.

            ---------------------

"Unlike you bunch of tory toffs, I believe in paying taxes, and I believe the rich should pay more than (and in a lot of cases pay FOR) the poor."

But in Gordons eyes you are one of the people he considers to be tax avoiders. Have you submitted your contract to the IR for their considered thought on your IR35 status? If not, why not. I'm pretty sure, regardless of your opinion, they will consider you as being caught by ir35.

**yes actually. I'm currently having my first year of business reviewed, and I've helped them every way I can. if it turns out I need to pay more tax, I will do so relatively happily, and follow their guidance for future years.

If you paid more attention to how the money is misspent you would rapidly change your tune

And by "misspent" not talking about spent on causes one might not approve off (war, benefits, arts and such) , talking about paying over the odds for virtually everything and constantly wasting money

If the county was run efficiently and competitively as if it was a company that existed in a competative market place, for the amount we pay in tax's we should be living in a utopia of a NHS that as the envy of the world, have world class education system, copper on every corner and a well funded/equipped military

Untill it is ran a such and i get value for money i consider it my duty to reduce my funding of the monster by any and all legal means
