The issue now is Trump is inferring that the US will not defend Europe if Russia attracts the EU or UK even if it’s a nuclear attack. This virtually renders the UK nuclear submarine fleet useless as the US holds the passkey. I think the UK should get a refund."A people that elect corrupt politicians, imposters, thieves and traitors are not victims, but accomplices," George OrwellComment

Trump pointed out years ago he no longer wishes to carry Europe's defence needs when they don't pay enough for NATO, sorry that upsets you!Comment

The White house disagree with links. Try following them, they refer to prolonged Hormone therapy given to mice with some research upon the long term effects.Originally posted by NotAllThere
Apparently the $8M saved on closing down a program for transgender mice actually closed down a program involving transgenic mice. That is genetically modified mice used in researching human health.
Meanwhile, King Donald spent $10M of US taxpayer money in his first month - playing golf.
But hey - it's ok. Honda are planning to build Civics in the US.

Probably need some research from experts before you can decide either way.
Do you have a link for his golf card?Comment

They saved $8billion cancelling a contract with D&G Solutions (according to their publicity). The contract was worth a maximum of $8million.Originally posted by NotAllThere

America has been governed by a bloke with dementia for years, oddly no one complained. lefty idiots pursuing minority rights are pushing the the agenda. China has finished on our lunch and has moved onto afternoon tea.Originally posted by NotAllThere
It's a shame. Once you seemed like a reasonably decent, right wing oriented chap, with a certain amount of wit. Now you come across as a jerk.
Strong leaders are now needed. Kemi & Keir are obviously not capable.
Election outcomes have moved more right wing across the world and are polarised against lefty sentiments about international fairness. The people are voting for more extreme parties as the main parties are clearly not delivering.
It will be interesting to see how Trump delivers. All evidence so far is that he will move the US away from a path of waste and surrender. Such a leader (or a more competent swing to the right) removing the loony lefties would prevent a far right or left swing and disaster.
Maybe I should support two tier sentencing, immigrant priority for social housing , tax raids to fund welfare, imprisoning people over free speech and behaviour more heavily due to their skin colour like many appear to do.
I am sorry you can't discuss this without animosity, that is not my intention or I believe my fault. I just want the insanity to pass without damaging the UK / US etc too much. Sharing what Donald does may be instructive. So far I think Trump is broadly right. You are welcome to disagree with facts.
1. Ceasefire in Gaza and a possible non western funded solution. Imagine Israel no longer being "the occupying power" what excuse will Hamas have for shelling them daily? If they piss off the Saudi's etc I suspect their vengeance will be swift and bloody.
2. Move to peace in Ukraine (its a bit Brutal but the EU have had 3 years to stop the massacre) the states had "the right sort of president" (a lefty one). Why wasn't it tackled then? Trump has tackled it in his first 44 days. He seems to be making progress.
3. DOGE - cutting waste which we all expected was there, not perfect but a start. If its only out by $8m on $1trillion its far more efficient than any government initiative I have ever seen.
4. Controlling illegal immigration from day 1. They have more clients than contributors like most advanced economies.
If celebrating these initiatives is right wing then I wave the flag proudly. Remember the left has the higher body and cruelty count.
If you were offered a visa for the states, UK, Saudi, Russia or North Korea where would you go to live in reality?
I was shocked by the Reform slogan "I want my country back" but it seems appropriate now and I suspect they will get in next , that may head us away from sectarian voting for terrorists in UK elections. I grew up in the 80s and where we are now is unrecognisable.
Hate Donald for what he actually does not what you read about him in the Slaver. He may be our lest best hope for peace!Comment

Ronnie on his worst day beat Biden & Kameela any day.Originally posted by NotAllThereThat's because Ronald, while dithery, had class and dignity. A real statesman.
You seem to be one of the Gen-Z who want a dictatorship. Or like the Russians, or Italy in WW2 (say what you like about Mussolini but at least the trains ran on time). Strong leaders. Works well for the ordinary folk.
Strength does not equal a dictator most of the founding fathers would wipe the floor with many recent presidents.
Churchill & Maggie were quite good too.
