I am getting sick and tired of being ripped off left right and centre by our greedy banks, utilities and other scumbags.
Anyone calling 0870, 0845x, etc nos is getting charged min 50p or so a minute. Most banks have cottoned on to that and have inserted another 10 sets of menus so that by the time you get to your choice you have spent about 10 mins, then if you need assistance, you are put in a queue and wait for another few mins (while they are happily charging you) and then when you hear a human voice (albeit an Indian one) you have to go through another 2 mins id verification (despite tapping all this on your phone beforehand) - all designed to rip you off nicely thnk you.
The newest trick is when some of them ring you on your mobile - someone did raise that earlier - and YOU PAY! They must be using a reverse charge system. UN - f'n - BELIEVABLE you may say. It's true and it doesn't always register as a debit unless you check straight away or have a PAYG mobile.
PS
LloydsTSB are in the process of closing their disgraceful Indian Call Centre and returning back to the UK after spending 000's over there. They also are about to provide individual nos for their branches having lost a significant amount of market share in the procees. Hope they and others have learnt a f'n lesson.
