If you know German , just mix it with English and the end product is Dutch.

Actually there is a large (albeit minority in the vastness of India) Christian population who might well have those names.
      Hard Brexit now!

I'm having fun with British Gas and a British only call centre, I still haven't got a gas bill after 11 months in a property and numerous efforts at sorting it out. I'm presuming there is no way out of eventually paying the bill but then maybe there is ? One good thing is the price of gas keeps going down.

Nah, one house I owned for about 8 years, feels like 10 years ago now. Never got a Gas bill, after 3 years I gave up calling them each quarter when the bills for other houses arrived..

I've even given them meter readings over the phone. It is a new installation and I never bothered looking at the initial meter reading, I assume it was zero, when I asked them they hadn't got a clue. Perhaps I could pull something off yet but I expect a big bill and demands once they catch up with me. Just selling the house and being a good citizen don't want leave the new owner in the lurch. Did you walk away from the bill ?

you could be lucky - with the deregultaion of the energy industry people had the ability to move between suppliers, if you are fortunate enough to "drop off the map" you get free gas or leccy or both. British Gas are just a supploer now buying off generators.

The combined suppliers basically pay some of their profit back to the generators to cover Gas & Leccy which are used but not billed - either lost from the system, stolen or just not recorded.

If you haven't been billed yet, stay quiet - nobody will catch up....

Trust me, India doesn't have a monopoly on sh1t call centres and service.

Have been chasing TD Waterhouse (UK call centre) for three weeks now about getting some forms to upgrade my trading account.

Called Abbey's Milton Keynes call centre a few weeks ago and had a similar service to their Indian call centre - at least they are consistently sh1t.

In general, customer service in this country is non-existent.
