How much does your car know about you?

Would giving away your "sexual activity, immigration status, race, facial expressions, weight, health, and even genetic information" be too much for you to turn down a new shiny toy car?

My cars are all dumber than a government minister so I should be safe.

My car is a dumb rock on wheels too. I can connect my mobile to the stereo for hands free calling or streaming bluetooth but it's not connected to anything "smart" as such things didn't exist back when Alpine were the D's B's for ICE.

When hiring a car, I have never connected my phone to it and now I definitely never will!

Considering it's carried most of the bodies it should sure as hell know where they're buried...

They collect a lot more than you think - Just finished listening to the BBC podcast about the North Wales Crossbow Murder.

The guy who eventually got convicted was caught due to the telemetry from his GFs new Land Rover Discovery. He got spooked and had it torched, whereupon the police smelt a rat and got hold of the cloud telemetry from JLR to have a look.

It basically put together of a timeline of where the car was, which doors were opened, locking and unlocking, the boot opening for removing and replacing "something" in the boot. He had no motive so the telemetry was the only so called evidence they had. It all unravelled from there when he started putting together his story.

I'm surprised I've not had an email to remind me my washer fluid is low in my Defender.....
