I’ve read a few things on twitter but apparently you don’t need to have a certain limit. Also not great if a bank leaked this information.Originally posted by SueEllen View Post
That's what I posted above.
The story is from a journalist at the Beeb who posted it on Twatter before the online team put it on the website.Comment

All the journalist found out is in the public domain, apart from the fact that Farage's account was closed because he didn't meet the bank's account financial requirements.

As Farage has publicly commented he has never had either the savings or borrowing figures that Coutts apparently require. Does that not make you suspicious?Originally posted by SueEllen View Post

Whatever you think of the man, the idea that a bank can close accounts based on their beliefs / perfectly legal status without explanation or compensation should frighten most people.Comment

Yes. It's beginning to look like they gave him account and kept it open for years for political reasons. Now he's a non-entity pretty much, they can treat him like a normal customer.Originally posted by vetran View PostAs Farage has publicly commented he has never had either the savings or borrowing figures that Coutts apparently require. Personally I think countering defamation which is harmful to the business would justify any clarification from the business.Originally posted by woohoo View Post

Now if they are lying then Farage can have a field day in court.
The notion you can slag off a company and then screech GDPR! if they call you out is tulipe.Comment
