No not immediately, but if you can taste 1/4 teaspoon of sugar/salt in a cup you will taste something not right.

I can smell if tea or coffee has sugar in it. Most people can, but are unaware.

I would imagine in this case that it would be somewhat salty - but I don't have firm knowledge of this.
