I don't think there is any doubt that human activity is doing something to the climate.
However, denying that it is a natural occurance is causing us to ignore the fact that it is natural and therefore unstopable.
Instead of dreaming up schemes to stop human activity we should be dreaming up schemes to deal with the inevitable.

What is the point of taxing 4x4s when Londoners will need them to drive to work through the 3 feet of water on Londiniums streets?
I am not qualified to give the above advice!

But by not accepting that it is a largely natural process, we are going to take the wrong solutions to the problem.

The highest taxes are reserved for what people can't or won't give up. It's only fair.

We know the government don't really give a sh1t. Otherwise they would be encouraging companies to allow home working, sorting out the rail network and encouraging the move to carbon neutral fuels.

            Instead...

we are told every January: The trains are too popular so rises in fairs 3 times inflation are required, meaning it costs more to do London to Bristol then get a flight to the south of France.

People continue to drive 30 miles to sit staring at a PC all day.

The car manufacturers continue to make the same cars albeit tweeked slightly.

the government does nothing to change the above but instead tries to tax us for the status quo.
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

You are missing my point baggy.
Carbon footprints and stuff do not matter a damn. The planet is warming and whatever we do will not make a tulipe of difference. Fly everywhere, it doesn't matter.
What matters is getting the infrastructure right when the ice caps melt, the seas rise and all the other stuff thats coming comes.

Oh FFS - the usual twits spouting crap.
Lucy. LG et. al. as I challenged you previously this is the report usually cited. Put some effort into understanding it, before spouting garbage. And if you have to criticise anything, criticise the science. Otherwise your opinion is as valuable as "chico's".

PS the fact that the fraud Al Gore has jumped on the bandwagon doesn't make it wrong.

                    Change the record.

                    That same old IPCC report.

One report, it must be true. It is, I read it in a report by people looking for government funding.

Step 1 - Bring out a doom scenario
Step 2 - Tell the governments they can change it.
Step 3 - Let the governments think up taxes to raise revenues on the back of the findings.
Step 4 - Issue large research grants to the scientists responsible for the reports.
                    Step 5 - Goto step 1.

I dont quite (in fact not at all) understand why carbon is measured in tons when it floats into the atmosphere? Surely if it floats it doesnt weigh anything???

Or am I just being a thick agent ?
