However, denying that it is a natural occurance is causing us to ignore the fact that it is natural and therefore unstopable.
Instead of dreaming up schemes to stop human activity we should be dreaming up schemes to deal with the inevitable.

We know the government don't really give a sh1t. Otherwise they would be encouraging companies to allow home working, sorting out the rail network and encouraging the move to carbon neutral fuels.

People continue to drive 30 miles to sit staring at a PC all day.

The car manufacturers continue to make the same cars albeit tweeked slightly.

the government does nothing to change the above but instead tries to tax us for the status quo.

You are missing my point baggy.
Carbon footprints and stuff do not matter a damn. The planet is warming and whatever we do will not make a tulipe of difference. Fly everywhere, it doesn't matter.
What matters is getting the infrastructure right when the ice caps melt, the seas rise and all the other stuff thats coming comes.

That same old IPCC report.

One report, it must be true. It is, I read it in a report by people looking for government funding.

Step 1 - Bring out a doom scenario
Step 2 - Tell the governments they can change it.
Step 3 - Let the governments think up taxes to raise revenues on the back of the findings.
Step 4 - Issue large research grants to the scientists responsible for the reports.
Step 5 - Goto step 1.

I dont quite (in fact not at all) understand why carbon is measured in tons when it floats into the atmosphere? Surely if it floats it doesnt weigh anything???

Or am I just being a thick agent ?
