Will be going with a group of 6 tomorrow to see the street art and need a place for lunch. I know there's a ton of Indian places with guys that tout for business and probably a ton of fake reviews. Does anyone know any specific places to try? Maybe something from the South?

Highly recommend Dishoom in Shoreditch. Been several times to that one as well as a couple of their other branches (I think they have about five in London.)
It can be quite tough to get a reservation but mid-week should be ok. Last time I went there was a long queue outside but luckily as it was my wife's birthday we got let in.Comment

Thanks to everyone that responded. Where we ended up at lunchtime made Tayyabs a bit far out of the way, especially when herding a crowd. We ended up at a place called "Taste of Jaipur" which was mediocre but good enough. We walked by Dishoom, which seemed a bit upmarket for the moment. I'd like to go back though.Comment

Check out Dishoom at some point if you can. It's not cheap but it's got a good ambience that's different to most Indian restaurants. The menu and food is a cut above most Indians too.Comment
