    The Worst UK Tory PM

Who is the worse Tory UK PM of recent years?

Theresa May - Famous for not sorting out Brexit and bribing the DUP.

Boris Johnson - Well known for partying during lockdown, and allowing those with very creepy hands to have positions of power in his government.

Liz Truss - Infamous for the Queen dying soon after she was appointed, causing the pound to fall when she speaks in public, screwing up the British economy immediately after her chancellor's fiscal statement, throwing the same chancellor under a bus, and not even to attempt to answer questions in press conferences.

Gordon Brown - Famous for totally screwing the best pension system in the world (and leading indirectly to the current financial mess) and inventing the whole concept of stealth taxation

Tony Blair - for leading us into an unnecessary and pointless war costing hundreds of UK lives on the basis of a complete fabrication and politicising the Civil Service (probably the greatest betrayal since Chamberlin)

David Cameron - for allowing the Brexit referendum then running away the instant it came out in favour leaving the country leaderless.

John Major - say no more, but still pontificating like he was a world statesman.

Against that list of sorry failures, at least Boris can claim some real and significant successes.

It's true, he did do a nice job of redecorating the No. 11 flat, if you like that sort of thing.

Blair was best with Brown as Chancellor - low taxes, business friendly environment - all gone downhill after Bliar

Wait a minute.. really? What about the Gordon Brown tax timebomb? Do you honestly believe the more you earn the higher percentage tax rate should be? Wheres the incentive to work harder?

Blair/Brown worked well as long as they were keeping to the general policy already in place. Where it went wrong was when Brown started believing his socialist background and started rasing taxes to pay for "investments" that would "lock in growth and mean an end to Boom and Bust". It was downhill from then on.

And the reason BoE was buying up £65bn of bonds last week was a direct result of Brown's changes to the pensions industry and how it was funded. So at least we can't blame him for the pound crashing...

You mean 50% tax band? It was made by Darling under Brown as PM (and I was referring to Bliar years with Brown as Chancellor) - that was dumb and Tory Scum failed to defuse it when they could many years ago - drop from 50% to 455 generated more money, same would have happened again (or minimal loss in worst case).

malvolio Brown and Blair are disqualified as they were standing for the Labour party not the Tory party. I'm aware you know the difference and you can read?

I left Cameron out as he lasted 6 years which is far longer than the 3 Tory PMs mentioned in the poll.

Major was PM in the 20th century.

It wasnt so much the content of the press conference which was terrible - another U turn

But she looked like she was gonna cry and came across as so negative and out of her depth dealing with the press

Terrible leadership. Wow. Makes BJ and TM look good.
