My wife's a naturalised citizen so didn't grow up with a Monarchy but we were both more than a little sad at the Queens' death. She did make me laugh though when we were watching the procession and internment service on the TV, 'which one's the pervert?', 'is he the pervert?' etc.
And when I tried to explain if he'd sh@gged a 17 year old in the UK rather than the USA then he'd not be breaking any age-of-consent laws.....'You're the pervert'.
