Boris Johnson has been accused of turning a blind eye to claims of his deputy chief whip’s alleged sexual misconduct.
As more allegations of unwanted passes and groping emerged on Saturday night, The Telegraph can reveal that the Prime Minister’s decision to appoint Mr Pincher to help oversee party discipline in February prompted the resignation of Craig Whittaker, another senior whip.
A senior government source said: “He remonstrated over Pincher’s putative behaviour. He refused to serve. There was considerable ill feeling in the whips’ office about Pincher’s appointment.”
On Saturday night there were allegations – denied by Mr Pincher – that three Conservative MPs were subject to unwanted passes or groping by their colleague.

That's the whole point. Johnson's cavalier attitudes towards staff issues and personal misbehaviour is probably fine if your an editor managing reporters, but not if you are in charge of a group that has to be held to the highest standards pf personal behaviour. He has many skills as a politician, but unless he starts listening to his senior advisors on managing No 10 staff and his cabinet, and dropping the old pals act when appointing people, he will never be an effective PM.Blog?
