I dunno, we have rooms we haven't used in 2 years and one room we literally hadn't been in for a year - we only use it to plug in an outside Christmas light and unplug in January!

We're not quite in that league, but have enough for a room for each of us, and office and a spare bedroom. Sufficient, and the kids (God willing) will be out within 10-12 years, after which smaller would suffice. What floats my boat now isn't bigger, but the same sort of size (or smaller) built well to eco standards of insulation. I think lower energy costs in retirement are going to be as good as a couple of grand on the pension.Originally posted by d000hg View PostI dunno, we have rooms we haven't used in 2 years and one room we literally hadn't been in for a year - we only use it to plug in an outside Christmas light and unplug in January!Comment

Well thanks to the Covid house price boom in the NE, we have just completed the sale of our first ever home. After 16 years, Covid finally pushed the price back up to the heady heights of 2005 when we bought right at the peak before prices collapses 30%.
I don't want to brag, but we got £66k for it.Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment
