I love it when people who suck at trolling try to excuse their failure by "I wasn't even paying attention". It never works, old chum. It didn't work on Usenet and it's not working now. try harder.

Be thankful NLUK didn't tell you to run a search on the forum, as the same question has been asked hundreds of times in the past ... and people of here are probably bored by now of answering, hence why the p*ss taking.

Translation: a couple of old pathetic fools who can't possibly stand the idea of someone disagreeing with their own sad and narrow views saw a new, well -returning- member of the forum and decided to get their jollies by bullying said member, failed miserably and are now flopping like beached whales to try to post hoc ergo ante hoc their behaviour into something more than "we're too old and sad to act like human beings on a forum because our lives are just so awful outside of it".
I'm sorry it didn't work out for you, old sports. Consider some testosterone injections and maybe just maybe going out sometimes. you'd be a lot less sad and miserable and maybe the pathetic spraying would lower.

NLUK's bizarre obsession with me is obviously better addressed by a specialist- early onset dementia is a thing. Poor creature should return to his mother and demand she teaches him the noble art of "not everybody will 100% agree with you and that's ok". I'm sure his life would've been easier had he received that little bit of advice most of us get by age 5.

That IS the point. The answer does depend on a bunch of things. How rare are one's skills? What is their approach to risk?
What are their outgoings? All of these are important factors, and we can discuss them as human beings. My apologies if the two of you don't fit that particular description.
Things like keeping a war chest separated from one's actual savinngs... these are things that can be discussed.

If you're one of the less than 5000 people in the world with a certain skill and the field has a lot more jobs than specialists, you probably won't need much.

I was seeking some answers and input from other contractors so my friend could understand what he's looking at.
The people who are worth knowing provided them, and I am very grateful for their input.
