And no doubt diabetic. And no, I wouldn't inflict a macdonalds on a vicious nasty killer kitty.

Stop using petrol (create driver / supply issues), Go electric
Stop eating meat (create CO2 shortages with high gas prices), Go vegan

I suspect it was a more common insect as I've seen cats eating spiders* and flies before, and the cats weren't kittens.

No - a grasshopper. But pretty similar to a locust. I have eaten locusts. Not bad, but I find the legs can stick in your teeth.
