If you’ve been in contract for the past 5 years your warchest should be plenty enough to sit back and chase the right contract for you.
To go permie with no intention of staying permie with the same client who you’ll call for a reference from when you get your next contract even for you is a cockwomble move.
Not everyone is suited to contracting, and I’m sorry to say you are not one of those, I’m not suggesting I know your contracting rate but IIRC you’re 2nd/3rd line support so 60% of a contract rate with the other permie benefits like pension, holiday and sick pay you’ll probably be better off in the long run and as you say an easy stress free roleOriginally posted by Stevie Wonder BoyI can't see any way to do it can you please advise?
I want my account deleted and all of my information removed, I want to invoke my right to be forgotten.Comment

Take the perm role and try to find another contract during your probation period. which has normally a notice of 0 -2 weeks. Did that last year after my contract was axed due to covid and it was difficult to find a new contract. Worked perfectly well. Worked the contract and the notice simultaneouslyComment

Time is nothing, I know people who have been in their first contact and not asked some of the question you have over the years on these boardsOriginally posted by psychocandy View Post
