Had a new outside gig sorted for April as the previous client wanted everyone to go inside scope. After three months the project I was supposed to move onto from the initial work got delayed into the long grass, so dropped.
So for the first time, I tried Linkdin with the "looking" badge, making it clear in the bio I was freelance. Got calls for at least one outside role every other day, if not more and within two weeks I was signed up with a new gig.
Don't believe the negative hype. Contracting isn't dead, yet.
