    Tulip job of the day

We’re the poo crew’: sleuths test for Covid by reading signs in sewage

Scientists in Exeter are identifying Covid through human faeces – this could be be expanded to monitor other diseases

The samples arrive by courier at 6am each morning, having been harvested from sewage pipes as they spew their contents into wastewater treatment plants across England before processing. Teeming with bacteria, viruses, and the mushy remnants of our meals, these 500ml plastic bottles of cloudy grey fluid are an epidemiological treasure trove of information about our collective health just waiting to be mined.“

The worse job in dealing with sewage is destroying fatbergs as you actually have to stay down there for periods of time until they are gone, and the stuff around it isn't free flowing.

                I hope so.

But if they are as good as cisbot it will take them two months rather than two weeks to get rid of a fatberg.
