Does that affect private jets? If not, nobody here cares...Originally posted by Paddy View PostAs part of easiest deal ever, the UK airlines will no longer have rights to fly between EU member states; only UK-EU-UKHis heart is in the right place - shame we can't say the same about his brain... -
Are there any UK airlines left? I mean, those affected probably already moved HQs to EU, problem solved, innit?Originally posted by Paddy View PostAs part of easiest deal ever, the UK airlines will no longer have rights to fly between EU member states; only UK-EU-UK

easyJet I think will be the most affected. Ryanair are Irish so safe. I suspect easyJet will simply open an office in Ireland to get around it.
BA can just switch passengers to other airlines in the the IAG group on a code share basis. Virgin don't do Europe.
I don't see this as a big deal and certainly didn't see any crowing about it on the travel blogs I follow.Last edited by ladymuck; 26 December 2020, 10:32.Comment

Opening an office in the EU won't be sufficient, they'll need to set up a separate company in the EU with planes, maintenance and EU based flight crews.Originally posted by ladymuck View PosteasyJet I think will be the most affected. Easyjet were prepared for this and have an Austrian AOC / subsidiary for exactly this reason.Originally posted by ladymuck View PosteasyJet I think will be the most affected. Ryanair are Irish so safe. I suspect easyJet will simply open an office in Ireland to get around it.
