I think he may have bought himself some time getting rid of Cain and Cummings - he now has scapegoats to blame when Brexit goes the way we all know it will. He's also appeased some of the Tory MPs who hated Cummings, so he's in a stronger position today in many ways than the same time last week.
Still not sure he'll make it to the next election thoughI am what I drink, and I'm a bitter man
