SA, why not set up supplying sexual services to El Duder et al?
You would make a killing, especially if you fell on them!
I remember the good old days of this site when people used to moan about serious contractor related issues like house prices and immigration. How times have changed!?
If you have email confirmation of the contract you should go.
I have never recieved a written contract until after I start a gig.

Yeah thanks for that.
I've started gigs without contracts before when theyve been with established agencies and clients. But I've never heard of either of the ones in this situation, and its away from home, so I'm just not taking the risk.
I dont even have details of payment cycles/timesheets, they haven't asked for my bank details, they didn't tell me the address I had to go to...
If you'd risk starting a job with no contract, for a client who wants to be able to kick you out for looking at someone the wrong way, then thats your choice.

I also have started urgent contract work before signing a contract, but I have verbally agreed some of the terms, but SA's situation is different, this is not like a last minute contract that a client wanted to start yesterday, they had well over a week to sort it out, how difficult is it to agree a notice period anyway?
