What about family members?
There is no "unskilled" route, but students and dependant family members will be able to come to the UK.
Spouses, partners and children under 18 will count as dependants, as can other family members in some cases.
They can then go on to work in the UK in many cases without meeting the salary test.

This was a predictable result from the start, one of the reasons I voted against.
Trading European immigrants for global immigrants who will work even cheaper and drive down wages even further and who are even less aligned socially is just a disaster.
Ironically this will just further erode away at what's left of Britain.Comment

The problem the UK has is that over the last 10 years is that the baby boomers have been retiring at a rate of 200,000 above the rate of those entering the workforce. It is this that has driven immigration. If you slash immigration, with the retired population increasing and reduce the working population you get a big problem.Originally posted by The Tartan Cottage View PostI think the difference between economies such as Saudi Arabia, UAE etc an UK is that they don’t have local resources on the ground and have to import them. Though the Saudi govt was pursuing a policy of Saudiasation across business sectors back in the early 2000s. Not sure how that has panned out for them.I'm alright JackComment
