There was a story the other day of a slight peak in covid infections in Bradford following VE day ... as the doctor said, what started as a social distancing celebration, as the day wore on, turned into street parties with alcohol flowing. And once you get alcohol you get fights, and it's hard to punch someone from 2 metres away.
Same in the village I live in ... every day someone complains about social distancing, yet when it came to VE day the significant parts of the village turned out and had a big party.

Its strange how media such as the Daily Fail and it's ilk considers this and the recent VE day parties as fine yet when a couple of people sit in the park, with social distancing, they're called 'covidiots'....
