Romanian fruit pickers flown to UK amid crisis in farming sector | World news | The Guardian

    Romanian fruit pickers flown in.

Just another sector that relies on foreign labour like health and social care. Good pickers earn £500-600 a week.

Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

Can't they fly more Indian nationals in to take all the IT jobs no one wants?

I've heard you can earn £500 a week in IT too if you work hard.

Do you want to work picking fruit from 7am for minimum wage and lose your benefits for 5 weeks after?

            thought not.

Funny how the jobs "no brits will do" don't appeal to those who moan about the lack of takers and accuse the people not choosing poverty of racism.

Hardly we normally rely on you for that.

This is a bit old but its true, I doubt the companies involved have changed much.

If these jobs were so fantastic don't you think students etc would be doing them?

Not for minimum wage. They are on piece-work but guaranteed a minimum wage, most make rather good money. (£300 to £700 pw)

They made decent money because they stuck at it to learn how to do it properly and efficiently. The feckless who say it's barely minimum wage probably only lasted a week.

It's hard work, not for the idle.
