Absolute catalogue of errors and from what I've seen in the report, the pax was pretty much blame free. Apparently he was left to strap himself in FFS.

Hairy has covered it with regarding this flight, but just for general knowledge, a lot of fighters have a selector to choose the behaviour. I presume either the Rafale doesn't have the option or it was set to "BOTH"Originally posted by Lost It View PostWonder how the pilot managed to stop himself being thrown out as well? I thought those things were one out all out in case one of them couldn't pull the handle.Comment

I'd rather die peacefully in my sleep like my grandfather, not screaming in terror like the passengers in his car.Originally posted by GJABS View PostThis is one benefit with flying in my plane - there is no ejector seat. It does mean that if the wings fall off, everyone on board dies - but let's not worry about trifling issues

Some years ago there was a CUK user called "threaded" whose boastful exploits were legend, and one was a claim to have flown a jet to Italy or somewhere with a bowl of spag bol balanced on his lap.Originally posted by Mordac View PostUnlikely, since he was French. That's the second time I've seen a reference to spag bol on a plane. Care to share the joke?
As I recall, he was based in Amsterdam and a keen cyclist. He often claimed car drivers were out to get him, and he may have since been in a bicycle accident.Work in the public sector? Read the IR35 FAQ hereComment

How unusual for a cyclist. I am sure it is just his imagination. Not that car drivers are self-entitled f**ktards - especially the Surrey based ones. No way. No Sir.Originally posted by OwlHoot View PostSome years ago there was a CUK user called "threaded" whose boastful exploits were legend, and one was a claim to have flown a jet to Italy or somewhere with a bowl of spag bol balanced on his lap.

It wasn't Threaded, it was that charity nutjob who alleged he'd flown a Tornado with a bowl of spag bol on his lap.Originally posted by OwlHoot View PostSome years ago there was a CUK user called "threaded" whose boastful exploits were legend, and one was a claim to have flown a jet to Italy or somewhere with a bowl of spag bol balanced on his lap.
