I was away from the house (I know, risky, but that's the way I roll) at 9:00 GMT when the alleged outage happened. I asked my colleagues later, they said there had been no problems. Fake news from the DM again? (Nope - it's in the vulture as well Microsoft Teams gets off to a wobbly start as the world and its cat starts working from home • The Register)

as with most MS outages.... it very rarely affects everyone. Their architecture is broadly distributed.Originally posted by NotAllThere View PostI was away from the house (I know, risky, but that's the way I roll) at 9:00 GMT when the alleged outage happened. I know. But if it's in the Mail, assuming it's fake is probably a good first approximation.Originally posted by Lance View Postas with most MS outages.... it very rarely affects everyone. Their architecture is broadly distributed.Down with racism. Long live miscegenation!Comment

I find that Teams goes down randomly and only for some people. I suspect MS devs are doing some CI/CD updates using user control groups, without any testing and without telling anyone because "CI/CD is the future"
Pro tip: If you have Skype for Business client installed and Teams is up the spout, you can trying using it instead as MS still have the back-end running and allow for co-existence. Some features may not work 100% but I find IM and voice calls work fine for me.Comment
