I agree with your first point but my point was you are never going to get taxpayers/voters to agree to fund support services targeted at prostitutes.

I think its terrible that our support services are so underfunded, but at least if prostitutes are taxed they at least have some legitimacy in demanding support for their industry.

Its not clear to me what what the sex workers are fighting for. Sex laws in the UK are very liberal. A woman can legally work from home, or a hotel room by herself. Not bad for safety, although Brothels are illegal. In fact the sex laws in the UK are much more liberal than the US, and many parts of Europe.

What do the women want? The right to work from a Brothel? But then, who wants a brothel on their street? Thats the problem, nobody wants a brothel on their street. Which is why sex work does not take place in legal brothels here. Would you want a brothel on your street?
