The racism on this board is living truth that this country still has a deep hatred for anyone who is different

I wouldn't say hatred. Everyone, from every culture, has a sense of them & us, and will instinctively consider those 'different' people with mixed feelings. Any school playground, office environment, reality tv show etc demonstrates this.

Whether it's racism, classism, sexism or any other ism - I don't believe it's a discrimination that carries intent, in most cases.

There are bigoted ar5eholes that do intend to belittle and harm others using discrimination as a device - and those who actually believe in the superiority of their race based on these factors alone - but thankfully they're the minority, and laws are in place to protect us from this bigotry.

What the law has done though, is place the onus upon the perception of the victim. In law - regardless of the intent of the alleged 'harasser', it's the opinion of the harassee that carries weight enough to convict. I think this is a mistake that gives any aggrieved group the right to harp on about their rights regardless of context.

In a nutshell I don't think the problem is racism, I think it's about political correctness. Everyone who's in the minority in any way will have this used against them by small minded fools at some point in their lives as part of the normal bull that happens every day - in every part of the world. That this is blown way out of proportion is, I believe, down to the sorry PC state of the nation nowadays.

But that's just my opinion!
