btw asking someone about their culture is not racist. Asking if Indians eat with their hands/fingers is not racist and as a matter of fact the vast majority do. Asking if you wear shoes may be weird, but it is just a question not a racist comment.
If your Italian friend is in the habit of leaving a "log" in the bog then I would be inclined to teach him/her how to flush it too.

It's not an uncommon error but there is a subtle (although important) difference between racism and xenophobia that some people do not get.

I think we need to call an end to this thread.

A lot of us have had issue with many of the things that Ms Down (if infact, that IS her real name) has had to say, and she in turn as had issue wih many things we've said (can you blame her really?).

Sandy has logged in today full of and clearly trying (reading between the lines) to stop the bad feeling.

We're never going to resolve this thread, so why not just leave it now, before someone says something they really cant take back, or Sandy starts feeling so picked on that she can never come back on the board?
