3ill: **** you, ok **** you! There may be racists on this board but there has been very little racial abuse expressed here.

Troll is being troll and if I thought SA or Troll were actualy racist then I would put them on my iggy list. They are not and nor are there comments.

The only thing that I would interpret as racist would be the monkey noises you mention and I do not recall those being reported. If they did not happen then you imagined them and are possibly imagining everything else.

I have not heard any of you anti-racists having a pop at Jackson who used a number of black on white abusive names.
I have never heard any of you defending the English against the yanks calling us limeys or the abbos calling us poms, both of which directly equate to calling an Indian Popadom, which BTW she did not do. She (in a poorly considered attempt at humour) said "whats her name tulipla Popadom" I apologise if I spelt any of that incorrectly. Had she called her Selfish tulipty she would have got away with it.

I am not nor have I ever been racist and will join in any protest when it occurs. I do not see that any has occured.

How dare you accuse Brits or the English of racism. We (in general) accept all creeds and colours amongst us, even those who hate us, even those who wish to undermine our way of life (though I would gladly get rid of the later). We have a world leading record in stamping out racism and have had to fight to get that same attitude abroad. Anybody remember how unprepared the Soanish were to do anything at the footy?

Yes we have racists amongst us, but we are doing our best to route them out and stop them. Hell, we ahve laws against it so expect legal action against JG IF SHE BROKE THE LAW.

Believe me mate the migrants who are creating localised ghetos are as bad if not worse than any English racist.
I am not qualified to give the above advice!

      People are stupid. There, solved.

My personal belief is that racism today is largely due to the residues of attitudes against some foreign nationals encouraged by our governments during various wars/conflicts. I've heard those who were around during the second world war to pontificate about how cruel the Japs are etc etc. Previous generations have been positively encouraged to foster a 'them and us' attitude. These attitudes and opinions were encouraged by the government of the day to make war an easier thing to stomach. Think of the enemy as 'them', some group of evil doers who are all the same and ooo they look funny too they are barely human let's kill them and be heroes. People were played by those in power for their own ends. The same is happening today except now we are told how evil racism is and that immigration is wonderful and we all have to integrate. Add 'terrorism' into the mix with its mixed messages of tolerance and it's like telling a dog to sit, run, beg, fetch at the same time. Most people are stupid and easily led and are being told how to act and what is moral by those with a vested interest in how they behave. Some can see through it all and just get on with their daily lives in peace whilst treating individuals with a level of respect based on their individual merits. Unfortunately the chav majority cannot, and are left wondering which way is up, hence conflict.

People are stupid. Those with the power to influence the opinions of the stupid need to take this power more seriously and think more carefully about what they are doing. Unfortunately, these are people too and so are also stupid.

So telling someone to **** off to his own country is not racist? LG, it is. How clear that is and how sad is that you cannot even see it. And so he's calling an india a popadum or a french a frog-eater or a chinese a lemon..... What else is racism then? Do you think it's enough to condamn the ones who beat up or kill people for racial attacks or shouldn't it be better to stop these things from the root by understanding that offenses and humor clearly determined by racial prejudices ARE a form of racism, even though the most lenient of all?

And it's also racist to say that british people are racist too. That is a prejudice as well. And to be honest even unfair in my opinion as I don't think they have a larger percentage of most countries in the world and as you pointed out, there are major actions to fight this problem (and there always have been). Yet, this doesn't exhonerate you from tolerating the racial abusers.

And also is racist to single out eastern european/russian women as money grabber monsters as Sandy did in previous occasions. Quite weird to hear that from someone who claims to have suffered racial discrimination in her life and that is trying to accuse other people of the same.

If that was how it was Franko then it would be racist, but there has to be an intent. We also do not have the context of the argument at hand.
Jade Goody is an ignorant and stupid chav and clearly reverts to her mental age when arguing. 5 year olds say these stupid things but not with any hatred.
I would have no problem telling people who do nothing but complain about their host country to **** off out of it and I do seem to remember you saying similar to me when I was complaining about life in Germany. Did you mean it in a racist way Frankie babes?

That is not how I saw it.
And so he's calling an india a popadum
She didnt call her a popadom. First she was talking "about" her not "to" her and as far as I could see was doing no more than making fun of her, and not of her race. Deliberately mispronouncing or replacing someones name is the sort of thing a child does to win an argumnet.
Does this mean I cant call a Yorkie "a yorkshire pudding"? Is pizza face insulting to Italians or just zitty gits?
or a french a frog-eater or a chinese a lemon..... What else is racism then?
If you feel that way then I expact you to reprimand Mailman every time he refers to Poms or Pommies. Or any other member of this board who aims a comment at a nationality. Starting a post with "You Brits" or "You English" is just as racist.

You may be right, certainly the former is beyon acceptable, but humour? A friendly dig is after all, friendly and every joke has a but.

From now on I am expecting you and Panties Down to be the anti-racism police on this forum.

I am still not hearing any condemnation of Germain Jackson.

You and others are seeing racism where non exists because you have stereotyped others, and that my friend is also racism.

[edit]You sneaked in an edit there while I was typing.

I missed all the fun. What a fascinating argument with elements of truth from both sides. How about cutting through the bulltulip and adopting my humanist motto "treat others as you would wish to be treated". Judging someone on the basis of their race is obviously an unintelligent and stupid thing to do.
Also I have some empathy with my non-white friends because I have been with them when they were on the receiving end of some almost casual racist abuse (on the football terraces). These things do go on but I think in general this is a country which we should be proud of - great strides have been made and at least we address the issue unlike most of the rest of Europe.
            Hard Brexit now!

I think it wasn't me (or perhaps I was just joking). No, I don't think it's fair to tell anyone to f..k off to his/her country. The issue is that I as a foreigner do complain about a few things here just I would complain about other things in my own country. However, for some people it seems that as a foreigner you have no right to complain about anything. You are entitled to have a voice over everything, whether people do agree or not and you can't get away just by implying that as a foreigner you have no right to make any kind of complaint. That's a racist remark I think.

mail who???? I don't normally reply to racial instigators like troll or mailman as their intent is clear and obviously they don't even deserve to be listened to.

Did I ever say that Germaine Jackson wasn't racist. Yes he was. But then two wrongs make no right. Yes, there is racism from minorities as well, and I agree that the authorities are doing very little to fight this form of back-racism too.

It was you mate, we were arguing about British food and I was complaining about Germany in particular. You told me if I didnt like it I could go home.
In the heat of an argument you got over excited. It happens all the time.
Complaining is acceptable, but there is a limit.

Cannot remember to be honest. I am not saying that it's right to expect the country to change because of us. All I am saying (and probably was saying) is that if you are not happy in a place you should think of somewhere else you might be happier (which is different to tell someone to f...k off to your own country).
