It’s an abusive tactic by Internet aholes who are using GDPR to cause real damage to legit businesses, hopefully Boris will repeal it very soon. -
It's actually anything held digitally about that person.
So lets say NAT sent Admin a message saying this guy is a plonker - that would need to be revealed under a GDPR access request - it is not just personal data it is any data about you that the company holds digitally.
As far as I am aware anyway.Comment

Indeed.Originally posted by AtW View PostIt’s an abusive tactic by Internet aholes who are using GDPR to cause real damage to legit businesses, hopefully Boris will repeal it very soon.
And vexatious GDPR complaints to the ICO will be treated as being exactly what they are.
Organisations have a right to retain legitimate personal information. In the case of this doylum, retaiging what little information is likely to be stored would be legitimate IMO. The retained information can be used to identify sock-puppetry in the future so is reasonable to retain.

But how do you personally identify the plonker being talked about? What data do you have that enables this?Originally posted by original PM View PostIt's actually anything held digitally about that person.

You're kinda right.
If the guy is referred to using their username and that username is not their own name, then they are not personally identifiable through that message.
Equally, the messaging system is a private system, so the management team do not have access to read every PM sent between other users, we don't know whether you send a message using someone's personal info that you know.…Maybe we ain’t that young anymoreComment

You were banned for talking rubbish. Dangerous rubbish at that. Personally I think cojak was way too soft.Originally posted by contractorcontractor View PostI joined this forum in 2006, but avoided posting. There is a culture of intolerance & bullying and questions often receive aggressive "you are stupid" / "RTFM" responses.
Yesterday I was banned for 24 hrs for explaining the difference between tax avoidance & evasion. Here is the link: https://www.contractoruk.com/forums/...ml#post2722749
The reason given was, "it frightens people" and I was "wrong". To me, it appeared someone used a ban to end an argument, that they couldnt understand or win.
I am not interested in being bullied. If it is not possible to discuss such things, this site is no use to me.
Admins, please delete my account from your database / or advise how I can delete it myself.
I hope your account remains and all your posts are moved to general. The regulars could do with some fresh meat to feed on.Comment
