A wasters classic...brilliant stuff. 'Can't put your arms' still does it for me.Originally posted by GonzoJohnny Thunders' "So Alone" album came through the post this week. I absolutely love it.
I met him twice in the eighties. It was not a surprise when he checked out a few yrs later!Comment

It was a shame to see him go so badly downhill but it does not seem to make a lot of sense - when you look at the people that played on that album, Johnny Thunders, Phil Lynott and Steve Marriott have not been with us for years, whereas Peter Perrett seems to have found a new lease of life with all the Vodafone money.Originally posted by RantorA wasters classic...brilliant stuff. I read an interview with Perrett lately. I was a fan of the Only Ones but the wee biography in this article was hilariously grim reading - definitely not a good advert for the 'old junkies grow out of it' theory. Apparently he flogged his house a few years ago for 400k and had blown it all on the usual - he reckoned the vodaphone royalties would keep him going for a bit longer.Originally posted by GonzoIt was a shame to see him go so badly downhill but it does not seem to make a lot of sense - when you look at the people that played on that album, Johnny Thunders, Phil Lynott and Steve Marriott have not been with us for years, whereas Peter Perrett seems to have found a new lease of life with all the Vodafone money.
Utter waster, but Another Girl Another planet still has one of the best guitar breaks ever.
